Frontiers of American Statecraft is a series of multi-week certification courses, designed to be a tool for junior and mid-level staff in Washington, D.C. to credential themselves as they seek to move into substantive policy roles.
Our goal with Foundations of American Statecraft is to create a tool that presidential administrations, congressional offices, public-policy organizations, and allied businesses can rely on to assess policy alignment and fluency. Courses each center on one theme like foreign policy, immigration, trade, technology, and more. These programs are always developed in close consultation with allied organizations and policy experts.
Our first program, “Conflict, Foreign Policy, and Diplomacy,” ran from early April to June of 2022. Students participated in over two dozen evening seminars delivered by subject-area experts. With a wide-ranging curriculum presented over dozens of seminars, participants were immersed in foreign policy history, theory, real-world case studies, and surveys of the contemporary geopolitical landscape from expert lecturers.
Upon completion of the program, participants are tested to ensure basic fluency in the issues discussed during the program, and offered a $500 stipend if they passed.
Future Frontiers programs, including one this fall, will be announced soon. Fill out the form below to be the first to know when applications for our next Foundations course are live.
